Cuajada con Melao (Cheese Curd with Panela Syrup)

Ingredients
5 piece(s) bottles (3 3/4 liters) of fresh milk
1 piece(s) panela, grated
1/2 piece(s) rennet tablet
pinch salt to taste
Directions
  1. Curdle the milk and let it drain until no more whey comes out.
  2. Let it rest and cut into thick slices that are cooked in water with plenty of salt for 4 or 5 minutes.
  3. Remove them, drain, and arrange on a greased tray.
  4. Cover with grated panela and place in a preheated oven at 300°F for 15 minutes (until the panela melts).
  5. Serve immediately.
