achira or bijao leaves
Directions
- Beat the butter and sugar by hand until forming a foamy cream.
- Gradually, without stopping beating, add the flour and eggs; then the cheese, aguardiente, and raisins.
- Mix everything very well and form the quimbolitos by taking small portions of the dough.
- Wrap in achira leaves, secure with twine or kitchen string, and steam for 1 hour.
- Serve hot.
