Ingredients
1 kg Swiss chard (or spinach)
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp white cheese, grated
2 piece(s) onions, peeled and finely chopped
1 cup(s) milk
pinch pinch of baking soda
pinch salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Cook the Swiss chard (or spinach) in water with baking soda for 15 minutes.
  2. Drain, remove the white vein, and finely chop the green part; add the rest of the ingredients and simmer in a covered pot over low heat for 20 minutes.
  3. Serve as accompaniment to meats.
