500 gr corn masa
1/2 water
2 cup(s) empanada filling
toasted plantain leaves
vines (for tying)
salt
Directions
  1. Dissolve masa in water with little salt and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes until forming very thick porridge.
  2. Prepare leaves, place masa base, then tablespoon of filling spread on top and cover with another layer of masa.
  3. Wrap and tie one by one, and cook in boiling water for 1 hour.
  4. When opened should be white.
