Picadillo de Plátano Verde con Crema Dulce y Queso Crema (Traditional)

Ingredients
3 large green plantains
1/2 cecina (salted beef)
red sweet bell pepper
onion (finely chopped)
3 crushed garlic
1 celery stalk
1/2 bunch fresh culantro (cilantro)
thyme to taste
2 bay leaves
reserve spices
1 pinch black pepper (ground)
1 pinch white pepper (ground)
1 pinch nutmeg
1 beef bouillon cube
Worcestershire sauce to taste
1 box(s) sweet cream
1/2 pint cream cheese
oil
water
Directions
  1. Cook the meat with each of the spices and seasonings, gradually adding water. Once cooked, shred it.
  2. Add the cooked and grated green plantains. Stir with a wooden fork on low heat.
  3. Pour in the sweet cream and cream cheese, add a pinch of nutmeg.
  4. Stir gently, let it thicken a little. Serve in homemade tortillas.
