Directions
- Prepare syrup over low heat with water and sugar.
- When ready, remove and let rest.
- Beat egg whites to stiff peaks, then add yolks one by one without stopping beating.
- Pour beaten mixture into syrup, incorporating with folding motions and finally add juice from sides.
- Cover pot and cook over low heat, approximately 1 hour, until syrup thickens.
