Ingredients
3 water
500 gr corn (cracked)
1 piece(s) panela (unrefined cane sugar)
10 piece(s) lulos cut in half, pulp extracted with a spoon
1 piece(s) pineapple, peeled and finely chopped
6 piece(s) bitter orange leaves
6 piece(s) cloves
5 piece(s) cinnamon sticks
Directions
  1. Cook the corn in water (approximately 1 hour).
  2. When tender, remove one cup of corn and grind it; this masa is returned to the water and dissolved in it.
  3. Prepare a syrup with panela, orange leaves, cloves and cinnamon.
  4. This syrup is dissolved in the water-masa we had already prepared and the lulo pulps (crushed by hand) and finely chopped pineapple are added.
  5. Stir everything very well and add a little ice.
  6. It is customary to serve it cold. (Optional: some prefer to prepare it with more lulos to achieve a stronger flavor).
