Chicheme (Corn and Coconut Milk Beverage)

Ingredients
4 cracked white or yellow corn
1 bag of shredded coconut
4 sugar
1 small package of cinnamon
1 small package of cloves
Directions
  1. Boil the corn with the sugar, cinnamon and cloves for three hours (you can use pressure cooker to soften). Once the corn has burst and is very soft, add (always on the heat) the coconut milk, the can of evaporated milk, the cans of condensed milk, let boil until the corn absorbs the taste of the milks.
  2. As a final step, dissolve the small package of maizena with a glass of water and add it to the chicheme to thicken it. Stir constantly with a ladle until you get the desired consistency. Serves 15 people.
