Ingredients
3 grated sour orange peel
3 dulce de tapa honey (panela syrup)
Directions
  1. Grate the peel of the sour oranges, measure three cups, put to boil for three minutes, remove and put in cold water; then drain and add water and boil for three more minutes, drain, leave in cold water; change the water about four or five times to eliminate the bitterness.
  2. Without the bitterness, place the sugar and grated peel in a pot and cook over low heat until it reaches caramel point, about two hours.
