Bizcocho Casero Especial (Special Homemade Corn Cake)

Ingredients
1 dry masa suitable for making tortillas
750 grated semi-aged cheese
1 bag of natilla (Costa Rican sour cream)
1 cup(s) sugar
salt to taste
sour milk as needed
1/2 margarine
3 egg yolks
1 cup(s) grated coconut
1 cup(s) powdered milk
leaves plantain
Directions
  1. Place the cheese, sugar, salt, coconut, and powdered milk. Mix with your hands.
  2. Add the eggs, natilla, butter, and sour milk. Continue mixing until a dough forms that is not too dry, but not too wet either.
  3. Line the entire pan with plantain leaves, otherwise grease the pan with lard. Form the pastries (bizcocho) not too thin and place in the pan.
  4. Preheat the oven to 300°C. Bake until well browned.
  5. (Makes 15 servings).
