Ingredients
1 kg all-purpose flour
1 tbsp salt
1 kg lard
1 piece(s) tapa de dulce (unrefined cane sugar cone)
1 piece(s) cinnamon stick
1 piece(s) fig leaf
Directions
  1. Melt the sugar cone with a little water along with the cinnamon and fig leaf until it melts well and becomes slightly thick, remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a large bowl pour the flour, salt and gradually add room temperature water until it reaches the point of not sticking to your hands.
  3. Flour the table and take small balls and stretch them with a rolling pin without letting them dry until they are very thin.
  4. Cook in very hot lard until golden on both sides, drain on an absorbent towel and pour honey to taste.
  5. Enjoy a delicious prestiño.
