Directions
- Wash the papayas well, peel them, remove the core and cut into long slices.
- Leave the slices to dry in the sun from one day to the next.
- The next day, put the dried slices in a pot with water, sugar, cloves and cinnamon to taste, and cook over low heat for 2 hours.
- When the papayas are soft and the syrup has reached a honey-like consistency with a champagne color, remove from heat and store in a glass container, or let them dry on a board.
- Serve the sweet accompanied with soda crackers.
