clove(s) garlic, crushed or finely chopped

piece(s) ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped

gr sweet potatoes, cooked and cut in large pieces

Directions
- Prepare a hogao with half the oil, onion, garlic, tomato, vinegar, cumin, salt, and pepper to taste. Sauté for 5 minutes and let cool.
- Cut the chicken in 8 pieces and marinate with the cold hogao for 2 hours. Then remove the chicken from the hogao and reserve it.
- Heat a pan with the rest of the oil and brown the chicken. Add the cold hogao and let cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
- Add the shot of aguardiente and cook for 5 more minutes. Serve with white rice, sweet potatoes, and arepas oreja'e perro.
