Ingredients
12 cup(s) caldo básico [see p. 78]
500 gr green beans
2 piece(s) tender corn ears, shelled
2 piece(s) carrots, grated
500 gr potatoes, peeled and diced
1 cup(s) hogao [see p. 87]
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
salt and pepper
Directions
  1. In a soup pot heat the hogao and oil and sauté the beans for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the broth, cover and let cook for 1 hour.
  3. Add the potatoes, carrot, corn, salt and pepper and cook covered for 30 minutes.
  4. Serve with sprinkled cilantro and accompany with white rice and arepas.
