Ingredients
12 cup(s) water
1 kg fresh shrimp
750 gr cabbage, finely chopped
500 gr potatoes, peeled and chopped
250 gr thick spaghetti
2 piece(s) hard-boiled eggs, sliced
1/4 cup(s) capers with their vinegar
1 cup(s) coscorrones (bread cubes)
pinch cumin, pepper and salt to taste
Directions
  1. Picadillo 2 bell peppers, red and green, finely chopped · 4 scallion stalks, finely chopped · 2 cloves garlic, chopped · 4 criollo peppers, chopped.
  2. Put shrimp to cook in boiling water until they turn red (about 3 minutes).
  3. Remove, peel, remove heads which are ground crushing them with grinding stone (or blend) and return to broth.
  4. Add potatoes, spaghetti, vegetable picadillo and seasonings.
  5. When potatoes and spaghetti are tender (or have cooked about 25 minutes) return shrimp, add capers and their vinegar, stir and serve with hard-boiled egg slices and coscorrones, both sprinkled on top.
