Sirope de Limón (Lime Syrup)

Ingredients
1 lime peel
1 sugar
½ water
Directions
  1. Heat the water and sugar together.
  2. After one minute of boiling, turn off the heat and let the syrup cool.
  3. Squeeze the lemons, mix the juice with the syrup and the peel of 1 lemon.
  4. Put back on heat to warm to lukewarm, stirring so it's well homogeneous.
  5. Let cool completely before filtering and bottling.
  6. Preparation time 20 minutes.
  7. Cooking time 5 minutes.
  8. Keeps for up to 2 years.
