Directions
- Take the papaya and cut off the ends. Also make slits in the peel to remove the latex, then wash, peel, and cut into not-very-large cubes.
- Leave in water for 30 minutes. Next, in a separate pot over low heat, prepare the syrup with the spices. When it's ready, add the papaya and stir constantly with a wooden spoon for 30 minutes until you see that the cubes are crystallized and well coated with sugar.
- Reserve, letting it cool to serve two or three cubes per person.
