Pan de Anís (Anise Bread)

natilla (Costa Rican sour cream)

margarine

cup(s) grated dulce de tapa (Costa Rican raw cane sugar)

pinch salt

Directions
- Mix yeast with sugar and water. Let rest until tripling in size.
- Melt margarine, let cool. Warm milk.
- Beat eggs until slightly foamy.
- Mix all ingredients and knead until smoothing dough.
- Grease container, place dough, and let double for approximately 1 hour.
- Form breads, place on baking sheet covered with plantain leaves.
- Cover with lint-free cloth or tablecloth. Let double.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake in preheated oven at 350°F until golden.
- Let cool and store in plastic bags.
