Ingredients
3 cup(s) wheat flour, sifted
1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
250 gr butter
6 piece(s) eggs
3 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp grated lime (or orange) zest
1 cup(s) orange juice
2 cup(s) any jelly or jam (blackberry is most commonly used)
1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
Directions
  1. Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy.
  2. Beat the eggs and add little by little to the previous mixture.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder and zest, alternating with the orange juice.
  4. Pour into three equal molds, greased and floured, bake in preheated oven at 300° until inserting a knife comes out clean (approximately 30 minutes).
  5. Remove and let rest, unmold and put enough jam on each layer; assemble and sprinkle with refined sugar.
  6. Let rest and serve.
