8 piece(s) regular-sized black crabs
2 piece(s) finely chopped red onions
1 piece(s) seeded hot pepper or 1/2 finely chopped red bell pepper
4 clove(s) minced garlic
coconut oil
1/2 cup(s) grated cheese
1/2 cup(s) breadcrumbs
1 piece(s) pinch of black pepper
pinch salt to taste
Directions
  1. Put the crabs in a little boiling water to cook them for 5 minutes. After this time, remove them, break the thorax, and clean them. Remove the meat with your hands, separating the fat and keeping the shells whole and clean.
  2. Meanwhile, sauté the onion, hot pepper or bell pepper, and garlic in coconut oil.
  3. Shred the meat and mix with the sauté, fat, salt, pepper, and a splash of water, and cook everything until the liquid has almost evaporated, forming a soft mass.
  4. Stuff the shells with this mass, complete the filling with grated cheese, and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  5. Bake the shells for 10 minutes, then remove and serve. If desired, in the third step you can use coconut milk instead of water to give more flavor to the dish.
