Ingredients
3 cup(s) water
1500 gr (1 1/2 kg) of beef, cut in pieces
500 gr yuca, peeled and split
500 gr red potatoes, peeled and halved
1 cup(s) hogao (Colombian tomato-onion sauce) [see p. 253]
1/2 tsp chopped marjoram
1/2 tsp thyme and oregano
1/2 cup(s) bread crumbs
pinch salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Heat oil and brown meat turning on all sides.
  2. Then place 262 in a pot with water and hogao to braise on high heat for 1 hour, covering pot very well.
  3. Add yuca, potatoes, herbs, salt and pepper and lower to medium heat.
  4. Let cook 30 more minutes.
  5. If necessary add bread crumbs to thicken sauce, let rest a few minutes and serve with white rice.
