Directions
- Sauté the onions and garlic in butter, covered, until transparent.
- Add the peeled shrimp (or prawns), anise seeds, salt and pepper, and sauté everything for 5 minutes.
- Add the anise essence (or aguardiente), stir and let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the flour in the white wine and add, stirring for 5 minutes.
- Add the slightly warm cream and mix well until the sauce incorporates and becomes creamy, without letting it boil.
- Serve over coconut rice or white rice.
