8 piece(s) cuchas or carachamas (armored catfish)
10 cup(s) water
4 piece(s) peeled green plantains cut in pieces with nail
2 piece(s) chopped head onions
2 piece(s) finely chopped scallion stalks
2 clove(s) crushed garlic cloves
2 piece(s) finely chopped bell peppers
1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
pinch salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. Wash the fish well with hot water and a brush.
  2. Put water on the fire with onions, garlic, plantains, bell peppers, as well as salt and pepper to taste.
  3. When it boils, add the cuchas and let everything cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Serve hot sprinkling with chopped cilantro.
