Ingredients
500 gr corn flour
1000 gr aged and ground cuajada (better if not too fresh)
1 tsp baking powder
2 piece(s) beaten eggs
1 tsp salt (if needed)
Directions
  1. Sift the flour together with the baking powder.
  2. In a container, mix the sifted flour with the cuajada, eggs and, if necessary, the teaspoon of salt. Knead quite a bit until obtaining a smooth mixture.
  3. Divide this dough into 20-25 portions, and with the help of your hands form rather thick arepas.
  4. Put the almojábanas on a greased baking sheet and take to the oven preheated to 300 °F, until they rise and brown.
