Cebiche of shrimp or prawns marinated in lime with onions, garlic, bell pepper and spices

Ingredients
2 shrimp or prawns
1/2 large onions, peeled and finely chopped (or grated)
1 clove(s) clove of garlic, finely chopped (optional)
1/2 piece(s) green bell pepper, finely chopped (optional)
1 piece(s) green tomato, finely chopped (optional)
4 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp ají pique
2 tbsp vinegar
piece(s) enough lemon juice to cover it all
pinch salt and pepper to taste
piece(s) fresh lettuce leaves
Directions
  1. Peel and clean the shrimp (or prawns). If they are small, leave them whole; if they are large, chop them.
  2. The prawns can be passed through hot water (2 minutes) to facilitate peeling.
  3. Mix them with all the ingredients (onions, garlic, paprika, tomato, tomato sauce, ají pique, salt and pepper).
  4. Stir and dress with the vinegar and lemon juice.
  5. Let marinate for a minimum of 3 hours. It can be refrigerated for several days.
  6. Serve on lettuce leaves and accompany with soda crackers.
