Ingredients
flour
baking powder
eggs
lid(s) dulce (unrefined cane sugar)
Directions
  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add half a teaspoon of baking powder. Add the egg yolks one by one.
  2. Pour in two large spoonfuls of flour. Beat all the ingredients until a creamy batter forms.
  3. On a comal (griddle) with lard, pour this creamy batter until it cooks.
  4. In a pot, melt the lid of dulce until it cooks and transforms into 'punto' (syrup).
  5. Place the cooked cakes in the pot with the syrup and leave until the dulce penetrates the cake.
