Ingredients
500 gr fríjoles vegueros (local beans), soaked overnight
2 cup(s) rice, washed
1/2 cup(s) guiso (stew sauce) [see p. 128]
pinch salt to taste
Directions
  1. Cook the fríjoles vegueros in enough water until softened (approximately 1 hour); discard the water and mix with the rice, guiso and salt.
  2. Cook in 4 cups of water until dry.
  3. Eat with topocho plantain, ripe roasted plantain and ají.
