Ingredients
1 ripe ayote squash (choose dry with intense yellow color)
1 cup(s) flour
2 eggs
1 cup(s) sugar
1 stick of butter
1 baking powder
1/2 cup(s) cornstarch
2 sour milk
1 vanilla
1/2 cup(s) chopped fruit and/or fig
1/4 cup(s) syrup prepared with cinnamon and fig leaves
Directions
  1. Cook the ayote until soft, mash it.
  2. Mix with all ingredients: eggs, sugar, flour, milk, spices.
  3. Pour into greased pan and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
