Traditional tamale prepared with grated yuca.

Ingredients
4 tbsp flour
4 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 kg grated yuca (raw)
1/2 cup(s) natilla
2 cup(s) sugar
1 cup(s) butter
4 piece(s) eggs
1 tsp vanilla
one-eighth of grated cheese (preferably yellow)
1/2 cup(s) brown sugar or grated piloncillo
Directions
  1. Pour the two cups of sugar with the stick of butter into the mixer, until it creams, add the eggs one by one, alternating with the dry ingredients.
  2. Then add the teaspoon of vanilla, then gradually add the grated yuca alternating with the natilla and beat for about 5 minutes at moderate speed until well mixed.
  3. Finally, add the grated yuca afterwards in small portions until everything is well mixed. Transfer to a previously greased and floured pan, baking at 300° for about 30 minutes, then remove from the oven to add the brown sugar or grated dulce (on top), bake again for about 15 minutes.
