Ingredients
4 cup(s) water
12 piece(s) clove seeds
12 piece(s) hibiscus seeds
cinnamon stick to taste
2 cup(s) rice
3 cup(s) milk
1 tsp achiote (annatto)
3/4 piece(s) margarine stick
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup(s) natilla (Costa Rican sour cream)
2 cup(s) sugar
200 gr grated semi-hard cheese
1 piece(s) egg (second part)
1 cup(s) natilla (Costa Rican sour cream)
3 tbsp sugar
100 gr grated semi-hard cheese
Directions
  1. Boil these ingredients for 10 minutes and strain.
  2. Add to this: rice, milk, achiote, margarine, salt.
  3. Cook previous ingredients until rice bursts.
  4. Add to this: natilla, sugar, cheese.
  5. Mix well and place in greased mold.
  6. Second part: Mix these ingredients well.
  7. Cover rice with this mixture and bake in preheated oven at 350°C for approximately 20 minutes.
  8. When golden, turn off oven and remove.
  9. Let rest and cut when cold.
