piece(s) pound (750 g) yuca (cassava), peeled and chopped

piece(s) green bell pepper, finely chopped

piece(s) ripe tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped

piece(s) onions, peeled and finely chopped

clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
pinch salt, pepper and cumin to taste
Directions
- Wash turtle very well and put to cook in water until tender, for approximately 2 hours, during which time remove any foam that forms.
- Add plantains, yuca, vegetables and spices, and let simmer on medium heat in covered pot until everything is tender (about 30 minutes).
