Ingredients
1 kg tender yellow corn (cooked)
2 piece(s) panelas (unrefined cane sugar blocks)
2 cup(s) water
5 piece(s) eggs, beaten
250 gr butter
Directions
  1. Make a strong panela water, grind the corn, and gradually add the panela water, eggs and butter to the dough.
  2. Knead and make balls, which are stretched forming the arepitas on a cloth.
  3. Place on a not very hot griddle until they brown on one side, and lean near the fire so they receive only the embers on the other side.
  4. If wrapped in a cloth they can be kept for several days.
