Ingredients
500 gr masa de maíz de cabecita (white hominy corn masa)
2 fresh milk
500 gr sugar
pinch cinnamon to taste
Directions
  1. Put milk to cook and when hot add the masa.
  2. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring gently.
  3. Add sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Once sugar dissolves, serve cold or, more frequently, hot.
  5. Peto is so popular among Sucre people that there are numerous street vendors offering it on the streets.
